Action: Disposing of data (e.g. legacy data, unneeded date, etc.)
- Treatment - Print: Adhere to retention schedules. For more information refer to the Archives and Research Collections Centre: Retention Schedules.
- Treatment - Electronic: Adhere to retention schedules. Manually or automatically attempt to verify that Confidential data has been removed. The data should be digitally shredded, not just deleted. Please refer to Disposal Guidelines and Best Practices. For more information on retention schedules, refer to the Archieves and Research Collections Centre: Retention Schedules.
Action: Disposing of surplus physical electronic media devices (e.g. disks, hard drives, CDs, etc.)
